Warts

Warts are benign skin growths that appear when a virus infects the top layer of the skin. Viruses that cause warts are called human papilloma virus (HPV). Wart viruses are contagious and can spread by contact. Warts are often skin-colored and feel rough, but they can be dark (brown or gray-black), flat, and smooth.

Skin Tags

Skin tags are extra growths of skin that look like a small pieces of soft, hanging skin, usually seen in the neck and underarms. Males and females are equally prone to developing skin tags. Obesity dramatically increases the chances of having skin tags. Skin tags are harmless growths. They are removed for cosmetic reasons.
