Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion treatments make use of a minimally abrasive instrument to gently sand the skin, removing the thicker, uneven outer layer. This type of skin rejuvenation is used to treat light scarring, discoloration, sun damage and stretch marks.

It uses micro particles, or a diamond-tipped wand, to slough off the top layer (epidermis) of skin and stimulate new skin growth. This technique also helps to thicken collagen, which results in a younger looking skin. Collagen is a protein in skin that makes skin appear taut and smooth.

There is almost no discomfort in microdermabrasion and there is no downtime. There's no danger of scarring or other visible damage. Not only you can return to your normal routine immediately after treatment, but you can even reapply your make-up right away. The only side effect is temporary redness of the skin, which soon fades.
