Laser peel, also known as laser skin resurfacing, is the removal of the top layers of the skin by focused laser energy. The main goal of laser skin resurfacing is to make the skin smoother and more even in tone, texture, and color.
Laser peels are most often performed using a CO2 (carbon dioxide) laser. Fractional CO2 [Active FX] laser has been developed to minimize the downtime to 5-7 days.
Q-Switched 1064 laser is a non ablative option for soft peel with practically no downtime.
People with rough skin texture, brown spots, age spots, sun spots, uneven skin pigmentation, dull skin & superficial acne scars can benefit from laser skin resurfacing.

The Carbon Laser Peel is a technique that uses a carbon lotion as a photo-enhancer in order to achieve multiple therapeutic & cosmetic effects on the skin being treated.
When a thin layer of carbon is spread over skin, the laser beam is absorbed by the carbon particles due to their dark colour. Due to the thermal effect, the heated carbon particles exfoliate the skin and purge skin pores. The laser also kills any bacteria in the skin that could lead to inflammation. The 1064nm wavelength in Helios II Q switched NdYag Laser is relatively long and can reach areas deep in the skin surface to diminish the activity of the oil glands. Also it facilitates the turnover of new skin cells.
The treatment is reasonably comfortable and only a minor sensation similar to pins and needles is felt. No anesthesia is usually required for carrying out the procedure. There is no down time. One can return to one’s work or other activities after the procedure.
Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 3 days. After the procedure, a moisturizer, an anti-oxidant and a sunscreen are applied on the treated skin.
5-6 sessions of the carbon laser peel procedure are recommended with an interval of 2 weeks. Thereafter maintenance treatment is required 2 times a year.
